And who is often on her knees in adoration before her friends and lovers, who are to be most devoutly revered and desired. Or lecturing them, a wagging finger pointed upwards as in "The School of Athens".

Hmm, something in your subscriptions suggests you are satirical in your theism.

Believers in eg Norse mythology would have cited texts or events as proof of their favourite deities.

Such arguments are shamelessly circular:

(i) proof the god exists is that she/he/it was revealed in a sacred text

(ii) proof the text was sacred is that it was revealed to a holy prophet

(iii) proof the prophet was holy is that the god and/or sacred text states as much
