The other 50% (let us call them male) cannot regard women as equals. There is no mutual love and respect between these groups. Stoning bars a woman from finding love at her choosing. Men are trained that intimacy means demanding sexual favours from a woman….

….Ropes deal with same-sex eroticism and emotional intimacy. The women have no public status. The men use their political power to recruit new followers, and destroy unbelievers and apostates. Having no actual avenue for human love and respect, the men thirst for it in a fantasyland called heaven. And you wonder that even the most ardent defenders of free speech sometimes consider banning the Quran, because it is a recipe book for actual brainwashing and actual terror.
